Patented cooling system for the pelleting assembly

Efficiency, safety and unmatched finished-product quality are the foundations behind the design of our machines. A key element in optimising the technological process is our patented cooling system for the pelleting assembly, created to maintain the highest working standards in the pellet industry.

How does the cooling system work?

The solution is based on an advanced aerodynamic system that transforms thermal control inside the machine:

  • High-performance external fan - continuously supplies a controlled stream of cold air.
  • Precise internal duct system - evenly distributes cool air directly into the working zone of the pelleting assembly, effectively reducing excess heat generated during the pressing process.

Three main benefits for your production

  1. Higher pellet mill output: By thermally stabilising the die and rollers, the machine continuously operates within the optimal temperature gradient. This translates into process stability and maximum use of production capacity without the risk of downtime.
  2. DIN+ quality without scorching: Precise thermal control of the feedstock and the pellets leaving the die eliminates the issue of thermal degradation. The finished product retains excellent structure, proper density and natural colour, without the unwanted scorching effect.
  3. Maximum safety (reduced risk of smouldering, ignition and fire): The system lowers the temperature inside the working zone to a safe level. As a result, the risk of fire sources forming or material igniting in the pelleting chamber has been reduced to an absolute minimum.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum output of the GRB2 880.264?

The reference maximum output is 4.3 t/h for forest biomass at an inlet moisture content of 10–14%. For straw and sunflower husks the output drops to 3.2–3.6 t/h, and for RDF to 2.6–3.0 t/h — the difference is due to bulk density and feedstock properties.

What foundation dimensions are required?

The minimum foundation footprint is 4.5 × 2.8 m, reinforced concrete slab thickness ≥ 300 mm, and the allowable ground bearing pressure ≥ 15 kg/m². Exact parameters must be confirmed by a local geotechnical report from the client's engineering team.

Does the GRB2 880.264 require a special electrical supply?

The machine requires a 3-phase 400 V / 50 Hz supply, with protection sized to the 264 kW connected load. The AIAC automation system applies a simultaneity factor of 0.7 when selecting cable cross-sections and supply-side protective devices.
